We are located in Dunbar Street, Aberdeen, Scotland, close to the historic buildings of Kings College (in Aberdeen University) and St Machar's Cathedral and within easy walking distance of Seaton Park. The immediate vicinity provides a rich resource for our Environmental Studies activities.

You can read some of our school policies here.
We have painted a bright colourful mural on our playground wall.

We have painted the boards around the playground and our playground surface now has games, all sorts of shapes and a games pitch.
St Peter's RC Primary School is a Catholic primary school for pupils between the ages of 5 and 12. We serve the parishes of St Peter's, St Joseph's and St Columba's. Other Christians, Jews and many Muslim families choose to send their children to St Peter's. We also have children from families who have no religious belief. We enjoy a rich diversity in religious, social and ethnic mix.
The first St Peter's School was opened in Constitution Street on 10th April 1833. It was founded by Priest Charles Gordon. "He took particular interest in the young, and in educating and providing for them - supplying to many the place of a parent." (Aberdeen Journal, 28 November 1855)
Alexander Brodie sculpted a granite statue of Priest Gordon which was placed outside the school in Constitution Street in August 1859. It now stands at the King Street entrance to our school.
We have been happily settled in our current premises since 1983. The main building of our school houses
In October 1998 an annexe was opened on the upper floor of Old Aberdeen House on the west side of the playground. The children in Primaries 5, 6 and 7 spend their schooldays in renovated classrooms which used to form part of Old Aberdeen School but which are now known as the Priest Gordon Annexe. Each classroom has telephone communication with the main building. An interactive whiteboard is well-used by the three classes and we have wireless technology to access the internet. Classes gather in a roomy common area for upper stage assemblies.
We are fortunate to have a grassy area beside the playground and our Playground Improvement Group has been working hard to choose equipment for it that everyone will enjoy. Mr Andrew Saunders came from Insch and made a dome and an arch out of willow. We have enjoyed running through it and we look forward to seeing the leaves grow over it.
