Our School Library

A message from Michelle Pinard of the St Peter’s Friends’ Association:

 WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP?
Our school library is getting better and better. Over the summer, the junior library received a fresh coat of paint, the annexe library received new shelves, and the new books purchased last year are now ready for borrowing.

We are making great progress in cataloguing and labelling the collection to make it more useful and attractive for the children but we need some help.

If you could spare an hour or two after school, at the start of the day, or over lunch to help out with the library, we would be delighted to have your help.

Please complete the tear off slip below and return it to the office to indicate your availability and any preference that you have for the different jobs that are available.

Tasks I would like to help with:

Name of child (children) in the school and class

cataloguing and labelling

issuing books to the children

reading stories to the children

Day of the week, times available

putting together displays

helping children do research for projects

Many thanks to all the parents who have worked hard to improve our library this year. More volunteers are always welcome. Look at the wonderful books that were bought for us just before Easter. Children in P4, P5 and P7 enjoyed choosing and stamping these books.
